The group size is a standard number that describes the battery physical dimensions and terminal layout. Your car needs a specific group size so it fits the tray and the hold down clamps. Check your current battery or the owner manual for the number.
Cranking power
Cold cranking amps, or CCA, measure how much starting power the battery delivers in the cold. Match or exceed the CCA your car calls for, especially in a cold climate, so it starts reliably in winter.
Terminal position and type
The positive and negative posts must be on the correct sides so the cables reach without stretching. Fitting a reversed battery can be dangerous, so double check the layout before buying.
